So we were out for a stroll in downtown Houston and look what we ran into...

Week 7: Interesting things around the House
Well, we have decided to add an interesting twist to this little weekly contest. The twist is the preceding week's loser must blog the next week. So, since I lost last week, here I am. And since I would rather have Dayna do this, I will step up my game appropriately. Look forward to an awesome project 52 blog post from Dayna next week (week 8). I do appreciate the 7 "Conor" fans out there from last week.
For those of you living in Houston, or even the Northern Hemisphere, you know that it is piping hot outside. So, we decided to stay in and see what interesting subjects we could find around the house. Maybe if we lived in Alaska would we have ventured outside at 10 pm to find an awesome shot, but it is just too hot and we were outside yesterday for a good bit of time.
Nonetheless, this week features a pair of shoes and the candy machine. Two excellent photos. I must admit, we can usually guess who's picture will win before the voting even starts. This week, I really have no idea...
Oh, and if you ever come to visit, bring your quarters for our candy machine. Yesterday, I ate two coffee Jelly Bellys in a row, it was disgusting. And the second one I was trying to be sly and stole some of Dayna's that she had, I guess it serves me right. Coffee should not be the same color as Dr Pepper, that's all I am saying.

Crystal + Jarrad + The Strand
We just love Crystal and Jarrad and their fun, adventuresome, carefree spirit! Last week they endured winds and rain in Galveston--nothing to shout about after Ike--but were still all smiles. The Strand provided loads of character for their engagement photos and Conor and I captured it all. Enjoy!!!

Week 6: Self Portraits
Ya. . . . so I guess I won't comment on the fact that our topic last week was supposed to be details in San Antonio. Had I known Conor was going to slight me and pick a structure, I would've whipped out my other shots. No, I'm not bitter. And my Dad always taught me not to get mad--but get even!!! Conor won with 65% for Week 5 and his silhouette shot was pretty cool. Of course, I like the fact that I picked out a detail found on the sidewalk, often stepped on and passed by (just a little DETAIL). I will post my favorite San Antonio shots this week. :)
Back to business. Here are the runnings for Week 6: Self Portraits. We should be paid for all our modeling efforts. If you like the photo of Conor, vote for him. If you like the photo of Dayna, vote accordingly. Voting ends Friday at midnight--let the games begin!!!
