Yes, we fell off the face of the planet and just got back to reality. My apologies for not posting any of our contests for Project 52 the past 3 weeks. We have been slackers in that area and I'm not going to attempt to provide any lame excuses.
Conor won Week 12 by 2 votes, in the flower vs. the car for our red and green showdown. The little Chevron car exploding out of the plant was quite comical and even made me laugh. Clever idea!
With yesterday being Halloween, we thought it fitting to visit Glenwood cemetary in the morning to shoot photos. Perfect for the occasion and weather finally felt like fall. I personally love cemetaries, and I found this one to be glorious! Our favorite subject there was whom we named, "Weeping Angel". She is just beautiful! Please vote for your favorite photo this week and tell us why--color or closeup b&w. Cast your vote!!!

I like the b/w one best, although, and of course, they are both stellar. :) The b/w one seems to be more curious, haunting and melancholy. Very peculiar and stirring. I also like that although the face is not in the forefront, it is what's in focus.
I like the color one becuase it shows the whole angel. The b/w could be confusing if you don't already know what it is. Color one shows alot more sorrow and gives a much deeper impression.
I voted b/w. It's so personal and almost real. I felt the emotion portrayed in the statue. Having lost my father just a few months ago I seemed to relate to the close up view of the sadness and even the agony of this weeping angel.
We liked the color photo with the contrast color in the background. We liked the BXW but if you hadn't seen the previous picture you wouldn't know what it was.
Glad your back!
Liked the color photo best. There was something about seeing an angel in emotional despair and seeing the missing hand; as if she wasn't spiritually or physically whole. I did like both photos,so it was hard to choose.
Black and white all the way! It makes to take a second look to take it all in and understand it! Great idea for a shoot, you graveyard hunters!!!
I know this contest is over, WAAAAAAAAY over, but I want to comment. I love the black and white image the best because of the unique angle and perspective. I think it's quite haunting! Looking at these challenges makes me want to dust off my SLR and Holga and go shooting!
