Melissa Botard Bridals

We took Melissa's bridal portraits at the elegant Rice University. I must admit it's quickly becoming one of my favorite spots for bridal pics in Houston. Only because I am a succor for arches and it's amazing corridors lined with them! The evening light warmed up the stone and brick, and in some places the cool colors of the shade added an interesting contrast. Light is amazing!!! Melissa is very photogenic, so shooting her photos were just a matter of placing her where we wanted. She looked beautiful in her all lace wedding gown and wore it with grace. Road Trip: Andrea's Bridals

Andrea and Ace tied the knot this past Saturday--yeah!!! Now I can share her bridal photos! We shot them the middle of March and managed to squeeze in between the rain. We were rejoicing that the rain cleared, but the wind kicked in and Andrea froze to death! She wore these fabulous yellow rain boots underneath just in case it was raining or muddy. I dressed in multiple layers with my thermals--you would have thought I was going winter camping! It took her a good day to thaw back out and rid herself of the goosebumps--but we all agree it was worth it!

When Andrea was trying to decide on a bridal shoot location, nothing jumped out. I had her look at the blog to get a feel for what she was wanting and what she liked. The bridal photos we shot at the missions in San Antonio last fall screamed her name. I suggested the missions down in Goliad. It worked out perfectly since Andrea had close friends nearby in Victoria. It was a gorgeous day, Andrea looked beautiful, and we enjoyed having the place to ourselves most of the shoot. I love the character, history, architecture, and workmanship of the missions and always enjoy a good road trip!

Victoria Bridals

I must say Rice University is one of the most beautiful campuses I have seen. I love the columns, archways, architecture, and oak trees surrounding the entrance. Victoria attended Rice, so it was fun that she had personal ties to the campus as well. How fun is it that she incorporated Matt's bike into her shoot? We did so successfully without him seeing her in the dress! : ) We shot the bridals in April and Victoria and Matt sealed the deal almost 2 weeks ago. Now I can share my favorite bridals pics! Enjoy!
